Quite unusual view from "Moskovska" street in north direction to the Balkan mountains. The chimneys of Sofia heat plan are also part of the landscape.
the station
This is "Simeonovo" cable car station at the foot of Vitosha mountain. I was really astonished how close new residential buildings are growing. To see the gondels passing so close the windows and to hear all the time the motors from the station, I doubt it is a good feeling.Captured from the gondel.

Residential buildings from the 30ties - "Moskovska" and "Malko Tarnovo" street, now used by the public administration. I like the curved balconies and especially the shadow-graphic on the blind wall.sugar houses
Close to the sugar factory and the railway line is a small residential part with a strange “out of time” atmosphere. Some of the houses are in very bad condition, some not, but the vegetation and the pavements (where there are any) in between remained obviously from years untouched.
